Setting can greatly affect both the characters and the conflicts in the story. As you jot down observations about the setting, also take notice of how the setting might be connected to the conflict and/or how the setting might be affecting the characters. For example, how does the setting cause the conflict in the story? Does the character act differently in one setting than another? If so, why do you think that is?
